How are Girls Inc. programs different from other after-school programs?
- We are the only after-school program that is girls only.
- Girls Incorporated provides year-round after-school and summer care with employees who are trained and supervised.
- Our curriculum is research-based and geared specifically toward issues that affect the well being and enrichment of girls.
- We address key issues like pregnancy prevention, career preparedness, heath and wellness, and economic literacy.
- Our program design allows girls to build lasting relationships with educators and other girls through regular and long-term interaction.
- Our services grow with girls across four age groups.
- We base our curriculum on high-quality, national evaluation research.
- We encourage older and younger girls to connect through role modeling.
- Our programs provide opportunities for girls to work with a number of adults with a variety of skills.
- We serve any girl who would like to become a member, regardless of ethnicity or family income level.
