There are many different ways to volunteer at Girls Inc.! You can help out in the Crestwood Center, with our Teen Leadership Program, our STEM Program: Eureka, with Outreach, or even in our Administrative Office. We are constantly looking for positive and encouraging volunteers for our programs.

How To Volunteer

  1. Complete an online application
  2. Take part in a volunteer interview
  3. Participate in a volunteer orientation & complete a background check
  4. Complete mandatory volunteer training

Volunteer Opportunities

Crestwood Center

  • Tutor: Monitor and provide academic assistance to the girls
  • Substitute: Fill in for absent teachers, following their lesson plans
  • Special Program Leader: Lead an activity that interests you (soccer, sewing, piano, gardening, photography, etc.)
  • Receptionist: Check girls in and out; Greet parents and visitors; Answer phone calls

Eureka Program

  • Speaker: Lecture, lead an activity, or lead the girls on STEM-focused field trip
  • Office Aid: Follow up with parents; Put together materials/ copies for the program; Data entry
  • Event Aid: Gather needed materials; Serve dinner
  • Summer Camp Helper: Monitor and spend time with the girls during lunch hour; Lead/participate in recreational sports; assist staff with summer programming

Teen Leadership Program

  • Office Aid: Coordinate activities with parents; Send out emails; Prep supplies to be used during school visits; Complete administrative tasks


  • Uniform Drive: Assist with organizing and sorting donated uniforms
  • The Giving Tree: Assist with organizing and wrapping donated gifts
